A little about
your massage therapist…
From an early age, Karen Rasmussen felt
compelled to do healing work. A genuine love and
ever-growing passion for her career are evident
when Karen performs bodywork on her clients.
Karen not only enjoys what she does but she
feels blessed that she can offer therapeutic
massage and bodywork as her contribution to this
vibrant and special community.
“It’s very gratifying at the end of the day when
you know you’ve helped someone feel and function
better,” Karen explained. “When physical and
mental well-being are achieved everything else
in life seems to fall into place a bit easier.”
Karen also loves that there is always an
opportunity for continued education in her field
of work. “To be an eternal student of massage,
bodywork and other healing modalities,” Karen
said, “allows me to offer my clients the most
advanced and suitable treatment options, while
keeping my job very exciting and aiding in my
personal evolution.”
Karen’s passions are as diverse as her myriad
clientele. She loves hiking and exploring with
her dog Kaya, camping, canoeing, floating
rivers, soaking in hot springs, receiving
massage and bodywork, snowboarding and cross
country skiing, reading and cooking, sharing
time with friends and family and traveling
whenever she can.
Karen has more than 2,000 hours of therapeutic
massage and bodywork training and ten years of
hands-on experience. She feels passionately that
therapeutic touch is one of life’s greatest
gifts. Therapeutic massage and bodywork is
beneficial for the body on multiple levels. Many
of Karen’s clients reap the benefits of
physical, mental, emotional or spiritual healing
from her work.
While Karen’s healing touch is capable of
achieving many impressive accomplishments and
breakthroughs, it’s up to you to decide what
you’d like or need to work on.
Professional background…
Karen has been practicing
bodywork since 1999. She has lived in Jackson Hole and has been
serving the valley's locals and visitors since
2004.
Before settling down in Jackson Hole, Karen
spent one year in the valley in 1997. She fell in
love with the area’s scenic vistas and
approachable residents, as most people do, and
decided that after her education was complete,
she would like to settle down there one day.
From Wyoming, Karen attended the Desert
Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona
for a one-year program of Zen Shiatsu and
graduated in 1999. There she studied Traditional
Chinese Medicine and Zen Shiatsu bodywork,
based on moving the flow of energy to create
optimal health. After graduation, Karen moved
back to the Chicago area where she grew up. She
wanted more of a Western understanding of the
human anatomy and physiology, so she went back
to school at the Chicago School of Massage
Therapy and graduated with a massage diploma in
2002. After living and working in the Chicagoland area, Karen decided it was time to
return to where she left her heart in Jackson
Hole, Wyoming.
Upon her move back to Jackson Hole, Karen worked
at some of the most respected spas in the valley
and also had her office at one of the best local
fitness centers in town. After living in the
valley for several years, Karen felt she wanted
to know more about the plethora of injuries that
she saw on her table. So, she recently was
certified as an orthopedic massage therapist.
This gives her a more scientific understanding
of the human anatomy and how to adequately and
proficiently heal her clients. Karen continues
her studies in orthopedic work and muscle
testing. Every year she attends class to further
her knowledge and ignite a deeper passion for
massage and bodywork.
Karen’s clients run the gamut of ages, including
children and infants. She is also the preferred
massage therapist for several celebrities and
professional athletes. But no matter what hat
you wear in this interesting life, Karen treats
all of her clients with the same respect and
performs her work with the utmost integrity.
Whether you live in Jackson Hole or you're just
passing through for a visit, you will receive an
unprecedented level of service that equates to
the best massage experience possible!

“Service is the act of
doing what you love for the sake of loving it. This is the highest work you can
do in the world. Service is the divine multiplier. When
you perform an act of genuine service,
giving of your time, energy, and
resources as an act of love, the universe will multiply what you
do and reward you with greater results than
expected.”
